Is the Laney IRF120H a tube amp or a solid-state amp?
The IRF120H is an all-analogue design rather than a tube amp or a digital modeler. Its signal path runs analogue throughout, from the instrument input to the XLR direct output.
Can the IRF120H be used quietly for home practice?
Yes. The IRF120H offers a Watts Control for power attenuation, letting it run at the full 120 watts RMS or drop down to a low-power bedroom mode under 1 watt.
What speaker cabinets work with the Laney IRF120H?
The IRF120H is compatible with 8-Ohm or 16-Ohm cabinets, and Laney's matching IRF112 and IRF212 cabinets are available as companion speakers.
Does the IRF120H have a direct recording output?
Yes. It includes an XLR direct out with LA·IR digital IR emulation and a selectable ground lift switch, plus USB-C audio I/O for recording and app connectivity.
