The IRF-DUALTOP is a 60-watts RMS twin channel amp with foot switchable Boost, a 3-band passive EQ, an FX loop, on-board digital reverb- based around the Secret Path algorithm and a switchable high-quality IR loaded speaker emulated XLR DI out.

All this as well as a switchable Max or <1W power mode, a cabinet emulated headphone socket and Aux IN, the IRF-DUALTOP delivers all the ferocious growl and bite of an Ironheart you know and love in a great sounding, compact and portable tone machine.

Just like the LEADTOP, the DUALTOP can be purchased as a rig with a matching GS212FE cabinet. The cab features a purpose-built cabinet and two HH designed HH1260 12-inch drivers to perfectly compliment the DUAL~TOPS performance.

In the 1700s the first Newcomen Steam Engines were designed and constructed right here in the
heart of England, in the midlands; a 100 years later the skies were black with smog from burning
furnaces, fuelling the legendary industrial revolution. This was the beginning of the Black Country. As
the fire and brimstone that once scorched the sky began to fade, another type of metal was born:
Heavy Metal; the beating twisted heart of the Black Country.
The IRONHEART FOUNDRY series is forged from fire and iron right at the heart of the Black Country,
the legendary furnaces rekindled to create a beast. We, tone blacksmiths of the midlands, have
created a monster.

We call it the IRF-DUALTOP, a 60-Watt twin channel amplifier in a compact head format. It's soul, from
the IRONHEART that resides in the home of industrial revolution, is designed in the UK by Laney's
dedicated design team.
Set to CLEAN, you get crystal clear cleans with sparkle and bite, while setting to LEAD is all about the
gain. It can deliver Earth shattering power, from controlled gut punching tones at lower gains to
untamed feral roars when really turned up.

The 3 Band EQ section is the tonal offspring of the legendary IRONHEART valve heads, capturing all
their nuances and flexibility. This traditional passive tone stack with complex interactivity never sounds
bad. As well as the onboard reverb – based on the BCC-SECRETPATH Spring line algorithm, the
DUALTOP also features a fully transformer isolated FX loop for a pure, noise free, high-quality signal.
The XLR DI OUT is loaded with two high quality Laney customs IR’s and allows you to connect directly
to your DAW or FOH giving you totally flexibility for noise free recording and streamlined cab-less
stages. You never need to mic a cabinet again.
An auxiliary input and emulated headphone output makes the DUALTOP ideal for practising at home
or on the move.

And then, if you dare, the last control. If you weren't already maddened by the insanity of the
DUALTOP, the switchable BOOST is there to tip you over the limit. Push your drive tones further and
feel the very soul of the IRONHEART scream out.
And yes, it may be small but it's LOUD, you can choose just how loud this monster is by the switchable
WATTS control on the rear panel, Max, or <1W ideal for the bedroom.

CONTROLS - FRONT PANEL
1. INPUT
Standard 1/4" (6.3mm) mono jack for your guitar.
2. BOOST
An extra gain stage in front of both channels, working like a boost pedal, with its own level control, an on/off switch and an LED that lights when it is active. Leave the switch on when you want to turn the boost on and off from a footswitch.
3. CHANNEL 1
Gain and Volume controls plus a three-way Gain Character Switch: CLEAN (least compression, open tone, soft clipping), ASYM (asymmetrical clipping: more distortion while keeping some clarity and dynamics) or SYM (symmetrical clipping: a more aggressive, compressed high-gain sound).
4. CHANNEL SWITCH
Selects channel 1 or channel 2. Leave it on channel 2 when you want to change channels from a footswitch.
5. CHANNEL 2
The higher-gain channel, with Gain and Volume controls and a three-way voicing switch: NEUTRAL (no change), BRIGHT (extends the highs and slightly reduces the low end) or DARK (boosts the low end and reduces the highs).
6. EQ
Passive 3-band tone stack with interacting BASS, MIDDLE and TREBLE controls.
7. REVERB
Level of the built-in digital spring reverb, based on Laney's Secret Path pedal. Turn clockwise for more.

CONTROLS - REAR PANEL
8. DI OUT
Balanced XLR output for an audio interface or PA. GROUND LINK switch: disconnects pin 1 of the DI output only, to help reduce ground-loop hum. IR CAB SIMULATION switch: 1x12 or 4x12 cabinet emulation, and it can be switched off if you want to use your own cabinet simulation in your recording software.
9. HEADPHONES
1/8" (3.5mm) jack for silent practice. It follows the same cabinet emulation setting as the DI out, and the loudspeaker output is muted while headphones are plugged in.
10. AUX IN
1/8" (3.5mm) jack for a phone or media player to play along with; it is added to the signal after the effects loop.
11. EFFECTS LOOP
1/4" (6.3mm) FX SEND / LINE OUT (transformer isolated), which also works as a line-level output, and 1/4" FX RETURN. A jack in FX RETURN sends the whole signal through your external gear.
12. REMOTE
1/4" (6.3mm) jack for a dual latching footswitch such as the Laney FS2-MINI (not included): the tip switches the boost and the ring switches channels. The boost switch must be on and channel 2 selected for the footswitch to work.
13. LOUDSPEAKER OUTPUT
Connect a passive speaker cabinet of 8 ohms (minimum) or 16 ohms. Do not connect it to an effects unit or another amplifier's input.
14. POWER
Socket for the included 100-240V power supply (24V, 2.5A) and the on/off switch. The front grille lights up when the amp is on.
POWER LEVEL
A WATTS switch on the rear panel sets the output to full power (60W RMS) or less than 1W for quiet practice.
